Tantalising Textiles 2015

Enchantment is the theme of this year's Craft Arena Tantalising Textiles competition.
Your work could be based on myths or legends, but could equally be inspired by anything you find enchanting! You can take the theme in any direction you wish and use any technique from mixed media, embroidery, cross stitch, through to lace making, silk painting and fabric collage etc.
We want to encourage people who have never displayed work before, as well as established textile artists, to submit their work for entry into the competition, so please don't be shy, you can enter whether are a beginner or have more experience!
Judging will be by members of the public and the artwork with the most votes will win a prize.  There will also be a separate prize draw for the voters. There is a nominal, non-refundable, £5 charge for each entry with the monies raised being divided between the prizes and a donation to St. Luke's Hospice in Basildon.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 10th May 2015. You may enter as many times as you wish, but entries must not have been exhibited before. Hanging or 3D items can be submitted but the maximum finished size should be a maximum of A2 (594 x 420 mm) for hanging items and 400 x 200 x 200 mm for 3D items.
Last year's winner was Anne Crowther with Monument to Spring
