Catching Up

I've been offline and without a telephone for a couple of days. Seems OK at the moment, so I'm taking the opportunity to do a bit of catching up.

New Stock

I've got six wonderful new moulding mats in from Craftynotions. These can be used as conventional rubber stamps, for moulding of Friendly Plastic, air-dry clays, precious metal clay etc, or as a rubbing blate using Markal Sticks, inkpads, crayons etc. Many of the designs can be used to create multi-unit or repeating designs, and you can cut some designs into smaller units if you wish. My current favourite is Fat Sparrows, shown here. I also have more new Coloursprays in stock. I've been playing with these over the last few days, and the colours are sumptuous!

For those dressmakers amongst you, I can now order Simplicity Patterns, and they currently have a half-price sale on all patterns until 17th April. Some of the patterns are lovely; as well as fashion, they have a good range of fancy dress costumes and a varied selection for soft furnishing, accessories and crafts.

Just a reminder about the Vilene products now in stock:
  • Lutradur 30, 70 and 130
  • Lutradur Crash - a lovely textured fabric which looks great coloured and distressed. (You can't see the texture properly here, but 'A' is Crash untreated, 'B' has been distressed with a heat tool and 'C' has been coloured with Coloursprays.)
  • Pelmet Vilene
  • Pelmet Vilene Plus - a stiff vilene with heat-activated glue on one side. This can be cut with a soldering iron and is great for constructing 3D items.
  • Soft iron-on interfacing - for backing cross stitch and embroidery, interfacing and stabilising.
