Scrummy Fibres!

Got back from college to find my Craftynotions order had arrived. The order includes some rather scrummy fibres. There are new colours in the recycled silk yarn and also some new fibres - nettle and hemp yarn which can be dyed with procion dye.

I've also received the frames and an icon which you can see here. These are ideal for painting and embossing with all sorts of media. I immediately thought metal, but you can use them for attaching all sorts of fabric, threads and completed art work. Very reasonably priced too.

I've also some new Valdani varegated machine cotton threads in some lovely muted shades.

This is the organza work I did yesterday with Dorothy Wood. It's not finished, as I had to slip away to a hospital appointment before the end of the class. Eileen did the workshop too, and she's promised me she'll bring her piece back when she's finished.

At college today, I reviewed all the samples I need to have completed by the end of the course, and I was surprised at the amount I've actually achieved! I've a lot less to do than I thought.
