Flowers for Elizabeth

I've just had in this lovely embroidery book featuring crewel work, although the designs could be sewn in many different techniques.

Rich in colour and decoration, the favourite flowers and fruit of Queen Elizabeth I and her subjects are stitched in the elaborate fashion and beautiful colours that give the embroidery of this era such long lasting appeal. Set into a striking black trellis, each of the twelve large ornate motifs and twelve smaller border designs are easily adapted for individual use on any number of items. A full thread conversion chart is provided so the twenty-four individual designs can be embroidered in any scale using wool, cotton or silk thread. Easy to follow instructions, full size patterns and clear step-by-step photographs make this an irresistible title for all embroiderers.

The traditional embroiderers among you will love this book!
